Over the years, the zlien community has grown significantly. As we head into the fourth quarter of 2017, our customer base is continuing to grow with construction companies spread across all 50 states.

Some of those customers are smaller shops with just one person in the office using the zlien platform. But others are medium to large businesses with many different team members and stakeholders that are using the platform. Some of these larger customers also have multiple locations, and may do business on regional or even a national basis.

(As a side note: Since many of our active customers have multiple users on the zlien platform, we actually have many thousands of users logging in to the zlien every day.)

We wanted to take a minute to give some advice to the members of our community that have multiple users or stakeholders actively using their zlien account. As we get to know each of you, we often learn about helpful “tips and tricks” some of our customers use to get the most out of their zlien subscription. And the User Success team is always looking to pass along best practices - really, any information that will help you leverage the zlien platform to do your job better, faster, and easier.

What your Customer Service & Support Teams need to know about zlien documents

If your company has a dedicated support or service team, they are likely receiving calls and emails from your customers or other project participants regularly.  The support interactions could range from questions about your product or services, to invoice disputes or even questions about documents they received.  The documents could be preliminary notices, notices of intent to lien or perhaps an actual mechanics lien claim.  Although you and your department may be responsible for managing the lien and notice process, you may not always be the first person or department contacted regarding your liens and notices.

How to Retract Your Notice in the New zlien

You may be familiar with order retraction letters, which you can send when you want to inform someone they should disregard a previously-received notice (for example, parties who were sent a notice in error, or if you received payment after sending a notice of intent to lien). If your account includes JobSight Research, zlien’s JobSight Team verifies the project information on your documents. This verification involves checking the provided project data against nationwide property and project databases, public records, and zlien’s internal database of more than 1,000,000 construction projects.  If your account currently does not include research, ask us about getting this added to your documents and projects.  You can reach out to your zlien account manager or email us at mail@zlien.com
