New default Queue settings coming your way

A new game plan for your queue

This week, zlien is rolling out new default settings for the queue to those users who don’t already use the queue. Previously, queue settings were blank by default, which meant that for many users, this powerful feature was going unused. Moving forward, the default settings will follow zlien best practices.

If you use the queue already, these changes will not affect your settings. If you don’t use the queue, these changes will help you leverage a powerful feature of the zlien platform (though, you don’t have to use it if you don’t want to)!

What’s the queue?

The queue allows you to take control of filing both voluntary and required documents. It also simplifies the task of tracking deadlines and filing documents. Items enter the queue when their deadlines are approaching, allowing you to focus on only the relevant ones. Once an item is in the queue, you can take one of three actions: approve it, lose it, or snooze it.

What are the new default settings?

The queue settings can differ based on document type. That means you can push different documents to the queue based on different triggers and dates. For all document types, we’ve selected the most conservative option: Opt-in. The opt-in setting means that documents will only be processed if you approve them. To learn more about opt-in/opt-out, read this excellent article.

Here are the default settings by each document type:
