We know you have a busy schedule, and most of the time you need to only focus on what's the most important. That's where we want to help you! We've helped you narrow down the 3 most important things you should do in zlien every week to help you get the job done faster and easier. And as always, we encourage you to reach out to your zlien account manager for tips and best practices. They are dedicated to making your zlien experience better and valuable.
#1: Check your deadlines
We cannot say this enough - stay on top of your deadline reminders! It's far too easy to miss a deadline and get burned. We never want to see you in that situation, and that's why we've made it even easier for you to stay on top of this with the new zlien. When you login to your dashboard, you can see which jobs need dates (because those dates will trigger your deadlines), and you'll see where you need to act soon to protect your lien right (send your preliminary notices).
Don't forget about those lien and bond claim deadlines! Go a step beyond your dashboard by creating a filter/ report of your upcoming deadlines on your Projects tab. We've covered some really comprehensive and useful reports to use in the new zlien here: 5 Awesome Reports You Can Pull in the New zlien Platform.
#2: Resolve JobSight Suggestions
JobSight does wonders for you and is a huge value add as a zlien customer. It's important to set the best research preferences for you and your company, but it's also very dependent on your effort to resolve and accept JobSight Notifications and Suggestions. If you feel you're getting too many emails and have too many notifications to address, then you're probably on the wrong preferences.
You should be dynamic with your preferences, and it's ok to change and edit them overtime. In the meantime, it's very important to check for notifications and resolve at least once a week depending on how active you are in your account. If you're filing documents throughout the week, it's a good idea to check on your JobSight data more than once a week.
#3: Archive Paid Jobs
Not only is this important, but it's also really exciting to archive your paid jobs! That's the success and joy of zlien. This is useful for you two ways:
- Shows your success in zlien, and that feeds into your dashboard.
- Clears out any clutter because you don't need to have paid jobs congesting your account.
Most zlien customers take care of this through an invoice integration or data feed, but you can also do this manually in your account. If you're doing it manually, it's extra helpful to close out any paid jobs every week to stay on top of it and save time. If you're interested in setting up an integration with us, ask your account manager!
